DIY Easy Summer Dress w/ Unique Neckline

If you’ve been feeling a little Plain Jane as of late, then this is the DIY dress for you! Say good-bye to Plain Jane & hello to Insane Jane!

Self drafted pattern – easy summer dress

Long Hi-Low length with a rounded hem & 2 high splits

1 shoulder spaghetti strap, with unique mini cowl neckline

Fabric Used:

A lightweight sienna brown hatchi knit (some similar ones here). I’m loving this material for these summer months down here in FL. It’s very thin & soft, & helped me to stay cool during an afternoon on the boardwalk. It’s easy to sew, has the right amount of stretch, an amazing drape, and a fabulous raw hem. As you can see, it is a bit sheer so be careful with what occasion or event you decide to use it for or use a lining.

On to the DIY Easy Summer Dress!

Bonus! I made a choker with a scrap of leftover fabric!

Can you imagine all of the chokers we would own if we used our scraps of fabric?!
