DIY Off The Shoulder Top : M7563 Pattern Review

(Scroll to the bottom of the page for the McCall’s 7563 pattern review)

What would Easter be without flowers?

Ooops, I meant, without floral!

Sorry, just wanted a reason to show off my new best friend. Family, meet William, the world’s best Staffordshire Terrier puppy! 🙂

On to the blouse…

Pattern Brand: McCall’s M7563

Pattern Details: (I sewed) a very loose fitting pullover top, with short sleeves. I cut the size Medium.
(The pattern also included) a tunic and dresses with sleeve & length variations.

Fabric Used: Silky crepe

What did you like or dislike about the pattern? I like that the pattern is a quick sew & I love the short bubble sleeves.

Would you sew it again? I would love one in a solid nude color. Also, considering view C  & a sleeveless view B as beach cover ups. So, that’s a yes-I’m definitely going to be sewing this a few more times.

What would you do different? I’ll probably consider making it a crop top next time. I would also cut the elastic on the arm a bit smaller, so that it will be tighter. The sleeves kept sliding down & I liked them pushed up to give it more of the bubble or balloon shape.

Any advice for a fellow DIY’er? Hmm, no-just follow the steps. This pattern gives great steps and there’s only 4 or 5 for this top.
